Today, in technology we can do anything we want with images, and it has been used as a tool for evidence. Photographers can do many things for example, keeping records of people s lives, allowing memories to last forever and intriguing people. I can t imagine living without photography because photography is more than just a image. Without photography, we wouldn t have pictures of our childhoods, siblings, and pasts. Since digital manipulation existed, it started to make people feel deceived. In the real world, there are so many unrealistic body images that look perfect that we start to question and doubt our appearances because, in our minds, we want what they have. It is wrong to fool people with a manipulated image. Photo manipulation has a negative effect on our society and it has to be put to a stop. Photo manipulation started earlier than you think. As early as 1825 There was a man by the name of Joseph Nicephore Niepce. Joseph have constructed a photographic print using a photo engraved printing plate. He was able to use multiple ways of manipulation. The real photo manipulation did not start until about the 20th century when actual digital photos were being taken regularly. In glamour photography many photographers alter celebrity photos to improve figure, color of hair, teeth, eyes, skin complexion, blemishes, makeup, and piercings.
